Our Outreach Ministries

Sanctuary Women is the official women's ministry of Sanctuary International Fellowsip Tabernacle - SIFT. Designed to empower and educate the women of Sanctuary so they can, in turn, empower other women, Sanctuary Women is not just about empowering the women within its walls. As we are empowered and educated, we seek to reach out to the women of the community through support, community activism, and education.

Sanctuary Women focuses on community service, outreach, and non-political social activism, offering programs, information, education, and support to help the women in the community. Tackling many topics traditional churches are afraid to touch, we seek to offer help, hope, and empowerment to the women in our areas.

Sanctuary Men is the official men's ministry of Sanctuary International Fellowship Tabernacle - SIFT. Much like our women's ministry, Sanctuary Men does not seek to be a typical men's ministry. It is designed to empower and educate the men of Sanctuary so they, too, can empower other men. Not just about empowering the men of Sanctuary, as we are empowered and educated, we seek to reach out to the men of the community through support, community activism, and education, as well.

Sanctuary Men focuses on community service, outreach, and non-political social activism offering programs, information, education and support to help the men in the community. Discussing and tackling many topics from a different perspective that is often offered to men in church, we seek to offer help, hope, and empowerment to the men in our areas.

Sanctuary Youth is the official youth ministry of Sanctuary International Fellowship Tabernacle - SIFT. Designed to empower, teach, educate, share, and have fun with youth divided into ages 12 to 14 and 15 to 18, Sanctuary Youth seeks to give our youth a love for God, a commitment to His Kingdom, and a sense of themselves. We offer a variety of events, studies, group outings, and social events for our youth. We also encourage and offer participation in church for our youth, our youth events, community service, worship team, ushering, and planning their own church events.

Sanctuary Youth focuses on that difficult and often uncomfortable transition between childhood and adulthood, wherein youth find themselves at difficult crossroads and are forced to make choices that often effect their entire lives. We encourage them to explore the world around them, develop hearts of interest and love for others, inspire a spirit of diversity, and non-judgment through non-political activism and social justice. We're here to be real, to help them find solid networks of support, and encourage them to realize that SIFT is their church, too.

The faculty, staff, and students of Apostolic University are uniquely aware of the need for solid Apostolic Christian education that is both Kingdom-based and Scripturally grounded. It is also essential that children of ministers have the ability to develop skills to help them discern their call and focus in on their unique call in God's Kingdom.

The result of our awareness is Sanctuary Academy, a K-12 ministry preparation private Christian school, starting out now as a Pre-K program. Created to help develop necessary skills for our future generation of preachers and church servers and also encourage Kingdom business and development, Sanctuary Academy provides necessary information, skill-building, self-discipline, faith, and empowerment to equip students for their next journeys into adulthood.

The curriculum of Sanctuary Academy is known as the Foundations Curriculum, approved by Apostolic University, and all our instructors are licensed and certified through The Association of Apostolic Christian Educators, International. Our schools follow style, form, and instruction as found through The Association of Apostolic Christian Schools, International. By using a skill-building approach all the while using the Foundations Curriculum, we balance educational education, practical life skills, Scripture study, Bible education, and empowering faith-building practice and exercises to encourage, uplift, and prepare students for both now and tomorrow.

Sanctuary Academy is run on a local level through Sanctuary International Fellowship Tabernacle - SIFT, providing a solid church community and connecting faith, education, and reason throughout the childhood and youth experience.

We have spent a year in test-run for a Pre-K program of Sanctuary Academy, and we are further developing the Sanctuary Academy program for growth, starting with Pre-K-grade 2. For more information, contact us at sanctuaryacademy@welcomeinthisplace.org

Our Mission Statement

  • Sanctuary International Fellowship Tabernacle - SIFT seeks to provide a place of spiritual and natural refuge; a place where God can dwell, living and active in the hearts and presence of those who are His people. We believe that as the Kingdom of God is within, among, and around believers (Luke 17:20-21), the Kingdom of God should be made manifest, powerful, living, and active when those who seek Him come together in one place. We believe this happens as we come with open hearts to cry, "Abba, Father!" (Romans 8:15), as we extend our hearts, our hands, our service to both heaven and our neighbor, in grace, truth, and love. As a result, we reach out to provide shelter to the homeless, food to the hungry, clothing to the naked, drink to the thirsty, healing to the hurting, help to the sick, and assistance to those in prison. We offer not just spiritual provision, but natural, as well, and in training our staff thoroughly and completely for ministry, present in the world over. We are about creating connection: Love of God for those who seek it (John 3:16, Galatians 2:20, 1 John 4:9-11); family for those who need it (Psalm 68:6; Ephesians 2:19-22); support for those who desire it (1 Thessalonians 5:11, 1 peter 4:8-10); and purpose for those who pray to develop it (Exodus 9:16, Romans 8:28, Philippians 2:12-13). It is our desire to remind all people that with God, all things are truly possible to those who believe (Matthew 19:26, Mark 9:23, Mark 10:27, Romans 8:31, Philippians 4:13).

Our Vision Statement

  • We seek a new day in the Kingdom of God, one that is relevant for our times and still connects us to the "ancient paths," so that we never forget our history, nor where we have come from (Proverbs 23:10, Isaiah 30:21, Jeremiah 18:15, Jeremiah 25:5). We believe the Kingdom of God becomes a reality, one soul, one impacted life, and one loving action at a time. Here in this place of spiritual safety and truth, we ourselves learn how to better exemplify our call as temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:9, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20), thus making us a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, and a holy Body of believers, one in faith, hope, and love (Ephesians 4:1-32, 1 Peter 2:9).
